We all picked tomatoes for the first hour. It was incredible that we were able to do all three greenhouses that fast. Then I did work for the chickens and the pigs. I collected the eggs and fed the pigs with Ellie. I then hoed the brussel sprouts until lunchtime.
After lunch, Ellie and I stacked wood again. It felt strange to stack wood in that heat. I really got to feel the saying “firewood warms you twice.
After stacking, we went out to the woodcutter to help Aizhan and Angela with the cutting of the wood. The woodcutter is an awesome tool, built by the family to cut the wood. It uses a car engine to move a rod with a plate against the log, and crush the log against a blade against the log. Very cool invention.
There was a lighting and thunder storm this evening. Even though I was expecting it, the thunder supprised me every time.
