Rainy day and a cow

Today is rainy, meaning that we worked in the greenhouses. We all picked tomatoes, cleaned aphid poop off the tomatoes, and then Aizhan and I pruned the tomato plants. Meanwhile, Ellie and Angela washed lettuce with the Head Farmer.

IMG_2687After lunch, Aizhan and I stacked wood until 3:45. We get to the wood to the people staking by throwing it up to them while they stand on the pile. Needless to say, this is great exercise.

Jo offered to have us milk the cow with him. I think we wanted someone with experience IMG_2701to do it, but Aizhan was the only one who had milked a cow much. She had done it a few times in Costa Rica.

At dinner, Angela brought up the desire to learn to ride a unicycle, so Jo offered to teacher her. Everyone but the farm Mother and I went out to watch; I washed eggs instead. After dinner, we did a survey about the way I work which the Farm Mother will analyse (totally optional, fun little thing.) She does this for people to help teach them more about themselves. I’m guessing the main reason she does this is because most wwoofers are in a transitional period in their lives and are seeking direction. I’m interested to know what she thinks.
